Help!! i blown my speakers out on my phone.?

I have the samsung epic 4g and I notice when my phone was ringing the ringer started crackling and then it went silent. I can't listen to anything on my phone that involves a speaker. So wheb someone calls it vibrates instead of ringing and vibrating. My question is do I have to buy another phone or can they fix this, I have insurance on my phone but I really don't want another phone because I have this one customize to my likings. I only had this phone for 5 months do all smart phones speakers blow out that easy.
