Am i running out of time in life?

i'm almost going into high school as a freshman. School is going to start soon and I haven't covered as many math topics as I should have, but the problem is that i get so overwhelmed and i try to avoid studying. Even when i do study, it takes 2 hours (seriously) to understand ONE math concept, especially hard ones like functions (i'm stuck on that) I hate how lazy i am. It feels like i'm going to be left behind and everyone is going to succeed except me. I know this because i'm going to be put in general math and i'm going to look like an idiot, feel like an idiot, and simply be an idiot because no one has any expectations for anyone in a general class! I'm running out of time but i just can't bring myself up to study!
