Dropped Phone in Toilet, now what?

I just dropped my palm pre plus in the toilet, I quickly recovered it. I took it out and it seemed to work fine aside from the top ringer switch and power button, about 10 seconds later the volume rocker went out, then the touch screen, then the keyboard. I took the battery out of the phone, I dried it with a hair dryer for about 10 minutes. It feels physically dry now, should I put the battery back in and see if it is fixed? Or are there any other precautionary measures I can take before i try and boot it back up? Thanks in advance.
